Gentle readers and fellow pie passionistas, please bear with me for just
ONE MORE DAY.

As you can see, I am eternally busy, tending to my pumpkin-headed children,
Trig, Willow, Track, and Rocklobster.

They have very large heads, which require regular maintenance, and tend
to break everything in the cottage. THIS is why we can never have any
nice things. Besides that, they are juvenile delinquents and anarchists,
as you will no doubt discern by a quick scan of the above photograph.

FIRST ANNUAL PUMPKIN PALOOZA AND GREEN INFO EXPO, EAST RIVER PARK, WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN, OCTOBER 26, 2008

It was not the glorious October day on the river, it was not the toddling glory of glorious toddlers amongst the pumpkin orange fire; rather, it was two sets by the Hungry March Band that brought joy to my heart, and tears to my eyes.

BALKAN GYPSY BRASS, REPRESENT! Oh, and much love to Sarah Valentine, for trading my tears of joy for "portable soundtracks for temporary utopias".

This magic moment has been brought to me by these gorgeous people many times; moments I treasure, and, will live, to treasure, forever 'til the end of time.
